In 2011, John and I started enjoying homemade smoothies as our daily breakfast. I’ll admit, as much as I LOVE starting my day with a fresh glass of fruits and veggies, I had fallen into a “smoothie rut.” We were cycling between two flavors – a pretty purple blueberry one, and the tangy green smoothie recipe that follows.
While I consider the following recipe for the Green Orchard Smoothie to be my all time fave, it’s time to shake things up. #punintended
So, in honor of the first day of October, John and I will be conducting the oh-so-horrible task of trying a new smoothie every day. 😉 Just for you. Cuz we love you.
I’ll post all the recipes that make the cut. So check back often for new flavor twists. And if you make one of my recipes, be sure to tag me on Instagram! I wanna see! @friendlyorchard
For October 1st, I’m kicking things off with our ‘ole standby, the Green Orchard Smoothie. Loaded with greens, but tastes like green apple & pineapple. What’s not to love?
Enjoy!
